This edgy, hip Mexican indie follows the spiritual awakening of a young girl--orphaned, lost in the world, and desperate to find her way. Mariana (Vanessa Bauche, AMORES PERROS) was abandoned as a baby when her father deserted the scene of her mother's tragic death. Now 18, she has been abandoned by her adoptive mother and depends upon her drug-dealer boyfriend, slipping more and more into an urban underworld of drugs and parties. Eventually, her lifestyle puts the police on her trail, and Mariana takes off, leaving the city behind to embark on a search for her biological father and her own roots. Along the way, she meets Sebastian (Osvaldo Benavides, DUST TO DUST), a young man who just might be able to help her find herself. The soundtrack features music from Mexican hit-makers Café Tacuba.
